In the Spring we did a job on the Post Office door in our community.

We took our mobile art trailer out for some more summer creativity. We incorporated plaster, acrylic, clay, paper and water-colour in our classes for children from 6-12 years old. Here are some photos:

As A added benefit to any class and for the enjoyment of the students and the artists we do face painting.

Creative Journaling Using Art Classes
What is CREATIVE JOURNALING ? CREATIVE JOURNALING is a “Form of Art” useful for documenting new ideas and stimulating the brain (cognition). Whether the journal is a visual, textual, or musical in nature, it is good for all ages because it introduces innovation with a voice of inspiration. Why take the sessions of CREATIVE JOURNALING? Every “six week session” at the HUB provides a creative atmosphere in which to relax and enjoy learning. At the end of every class, one can look forward to a product which has incorporated domains of cognition. Whether advanced or a beginner, recharging the creative and critical juices begins with a 9″ X 12″ journal book intended to be filled with meaning for one’s own personal growth.
Through observation and “hands on activities,” the aspect of drawing and painting integrate the elements and principles of art while a variety of multi-mediums (pencil/pens, pastel, water color, inks, acrylic and texturing, oil and wax) are provided. This is to introduce manifold experimentation, and motivational inventiveness. No two classes are the same; nor are the activities the same in which “confidence, courage, and character” are established through the pages.
